Indian Clubs has been around for thousands of years. There is evidence that club swinging started in India about 7000 years ago as mentioned in religious books such as Mahabharata, Ramayana and Gita.
The use of clubs certainly originated in central Asia but quickly spread to east and west and various countries such as Persia, Turkey, Indonesia and the Philippines have some form of club swinging system which has been preserved to the present day by wrestlers, martial artists, family tradition and guys like me that love the simplicity and efficacy of tools.
Indian Clubs swinging are an effective way to strengthen the shoulder without the unnecessary overuse of the neck muscles, and can be swung in many different patterns and weights stabilizing the whole body if done it right.
