These testimonials are from Beginner’s Mind clients who worked directly with Ricardo.

When I learned that my husband´s job would be transferred to Brazil, I decided it was time for me to get in shape. It is now or never, I thought! So I was referred to Ricardo.

In my 3 months training with Ricardo I lost 10 pounds, went from running only a few minutes to finishing a half-marathon, learned the tools for an efficient and safe workout and had a lot of fun in the process.

My original goal was to lose weight. I lost 10 pounds, but the benefits I gained from my training went far beyond that.

In my first week of training, I was only able to run for a few minutes before having to stop and walk. Ricardo designed a program for me that included running, swimming and strength training. I could see my body and my aerobic capability improving every week. Ricardo was always there to encourage, motivate and share his knowledge and experience, giving  me the tools to succeed.

Completing the half-marathon was a great accomplishment and an amazingly fun experience. I feel energized, empowered and ready for a new challenge.

Thanks Ricardo!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first met Ricardo I didn’t know how to swim and I didn’t believe anybody could make me run. My goals were small like to just learn how to swim, run and to finish my first triathlon. In less than 6 months I was already swimming in the ocean and enjoying running with efficiency.Triathlon is now so special for me that it became part of my lifestyle. My goal now is to prove to myself that by being a vegan athlete I can race at the Olympic level.
Thanks for the great coaching, it made my first 1/2 Ironman a special one.
Thanks so much!! Looking forward to your coaching in the 1/2 marathon class.
Even in a group setting Ricardo make time for personal attention.
I thoroughly enjoyed your course! Your positive attitude and encouragement of all the group made the training fun. I feel confident now to successfully complete a triathlon. Your training has provided a solid foundation, both physical and mental for my future training. Thanks again for all of your support.

Solana Beach Tri Camp

As most of you know I will be competing in two Ironman North America events in the coming months. Many of you have been training partners, offered words of support or shown an interest in triathlons. So I am sending this short note to let you know what’s ahead. Your continued words of support will mean a great deal as I finish up a training program that started in October 2004.

Event 1: Ironman California, Oceanside California, March 2006
Half Ironman Distance, 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13 mile (half marathon) run. My time last year was 6 hours 58 minutes, my goal this year is to break 6 hours.

Event 2: Ironman Arizona, Tempe Arizona, April 9, 2006
Full Ironman Distance, 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26 mile (marathon) run. This will be my first attempt at this distance, and my goal is to beat 12 hours 30 minutes.

For those of you who have a special interest in triathlon or who may be considering an endurance event I encourage you to come out on race day. Both events will feature the worlds best professional and Olympics caliber athletes competing at a level you will rarely have a chance to see in person. Also, there will be large exposition areas featuring racing products, sponsors and other triathlon related information. It will have a carnival atmosphere and there is no admission fee.

I would also like to provide a special thank you for my coach, Ricardo Rodrigues. His dedication, knowledge and coaching skills are making a huge impact on my physical and mental preparation.

Thanks again to each of you for your support!
